The Vice Chairman, Badagry Local Government, Lagos State, Mrs Elizabeth Kappo, has said she would improve on infrastructural development of the council if elected as the chairman.
Kappo, an aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), spoke with reporters in Badagry.
She said: ‘’My boss, Olusegun Onilude, has done well in terms of infrastructural development in Badagry.
“I gave kudos to him. He has changed the face of the council when it comes to infrastructure and I will follow his footsteps.
“But I’ve discovered that these infrastructures are concentrated in some parts of the council. The infrastructures are not spread to some wards considered to be in rural areas.
“My administration will prioritise rural areas. I will open up these areas with good roads, modern markets and projects.”
The vice chairman said her administration would focus more on youths and women empowerment by embracing Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
“I will provide soft loans for women engaging in trades because when you empower women, you are empowering the country,” she added.
She promised to provide seedlings and tractors for farmers to increase their farm produce.
