Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall revealed Leah Williamson has returned to full training and could be involved with the team soon.
The Gunners have been without their stalwart defender since April 2023 due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury which forced her to miss the World Cup with England.
However, Eidevall said England captain Williamson is “close” to a return although Saturday’s Women’s Super League clash with Everton will come too soon.
He told a press conference: “She’s close, she’s returned to full training.
“The game tomorrow will be a little bit too soon, but after that I definitely think she’s in contention to be in matchday squads.
“Potentially in the next fixture.”
